We the People of IndiaOverview and Background
For a large and complex country like India, there will always be positives and negatives going simultaneously. As there are innumerable topics that can be evaluated as to what have we achieved in the last nearly eighty years of independence or even before from our long history, we would try to see what we need to transform for making “Amrit Bharat” and "Vasudev Kutumbakam (World Brotherhood)" a reality in the coming times,
The presumption is that we have a
strong democratic governance system up that has lived on for thousands of years
and although every set up may have shades of grey, we need to look at things in
the existing perspective rather than evaluating whether it is good or bad.
It is not a claim to say if “India
is the best” or to say “India is the worst”. Also, it is not a comparison of
which country or region is better or worse than India as each country,
organization or individual has to evaluate these types of issues based on their
own context.
Although we will use the
numbers and data in some of the articles, these numbers cannot be the absolute
determinants. Contrary to what many people believe that numbers are the final
indicators, we believe that it is the people’s perception and not the numbers.
A classic example, we use to share this perspective is “In any sports, numbers
are only relative and it is the final result ie Win or Loss that matters”.
None of the articles that we share
are absolute in nature and we welcome your comments, thoughts and views so that
all of us can look items from different perspectives and create a more accommodating
and learning societies, organizations and individuals.
We also welcome partners for similar series for other countries on their perspectives of their own countries, regions, organizations.
